A blackout ridge is a very elegant solution to let daylight in naturally. The blackout ridge gives the best light distribution over the entire barn, even when you partially darken the ridge.
A blackout ridge is always custom made so that you can meet the 3% daylight requirement. The ridge usually consists of 4 elements per truss segment. The spoilers in these elements determine the degree of blackout and can be operated with a manual or motorized winch. This allows you to gradually darken the barn.
