More and more we can see free-range housing with outside accommodation. Hens have to move freely in and out of the poultry house. For this purpose Tulderhof has developed the pop-hole door. According to the guidelines it is recommended to use 1 meter of these doors per 500 chickens. Our doors close effectively (at night) because of a special opening mechanism. The doors are made of high-quality film faced plywood. The doors are well insulated. The doors can also be made of transparent polycarbonate.
The conducting profiles regulate the free sliding of the doors. When almost closed the doors is pressed against the wall with the insulation side to the wall. The solution for draught exclusion! The wall, however, has to be smooth. In case of assembly on the outside we shall apply a rubber layer on the door in order to prevent the chickens from damaging the insulation material.
